Should you choose to have an employee trained to be ISC Certified in Ice & Snow Control, they will have to successfully complete a four-day Instructional Techniques Course before they will be permitted to train others.

 

The Instructional Techniques Course is comprehensive training that will prepare the individual to present training sessions from the research material provided in a consistent and professionals manner.

 

This course was designed so that its use will be an investment in your employees and organizations future. 

 

With the Ice & Snow Certification Program you will be able to have your own ISC trained, in-house Trainer who can:

§         train your personnel at your own office

§         conduct training classes based on your schedule and needs

§         train other organizations and recover the original training costs

§         make profit for your organization

 

Once certified by the Justice Institute as an ISC trainer for the ISC program, your Trainer can:

§         purchase lesson plans from Ice & Snow Technologies LLC at a reasonable price to train your employees or others

§         coordinate with Ice & Snow Technologies LLC to receive certifications for students

§         be kept informed of the newest technology by receiving material updates

§         become a professional trainer if so desired

To train selected personnel to provide on-going training in the field of Ice & Snow Control at all levels of their organization and to provide training in technical subjects to a high common need meant to achieve the goal of the Ice and Snow Control Training Program.

This is four (4) day course.

 

During this course each Candidate will prepare, present and be evaluated on the following presentations:

§         Two (2) minute impromptu speech

§         Twenty (20) minute practice training session

§         Thirty (30) minute practice training session

 

This Course is designed for six (6) Candidates.

 

Two (2) instructors required to present the material, monitor and evaluate the practice training sessions.

 

Candidates will be monitored and debriefed after each practice training session on the following criteria:

§         Personal appearance

§         Preparation of practice training session lesson plans

§         Presentation skills

§         Preparation and use of training aides

§         Classroom control – general training observations

Upon successful completion of the Instructional Techniques Course, give research material, each Candidate will be able to:

§         Select and deliver the most appropriate training method(s) for the given training situation

§         Organize, prepare and present relevant technical and non-technical training information to a professional, acceptable and certifiable level as required

§         Give/receive constructive feedback to/from peer Candidates on practice training presentations

§         Demonstrate the effective use of training aides to promote classroom learning

§         Identify and effectively deal with difficult training situations and negative Candidate behavior in a positive and assertive manner.

The success of the Ice & Snow Control Training Program is totally dependent upon the Candidate selection for the Instructional Techniques Course and the quality of the session presented by the trainers.  Emphasis will therefore be placed upon Candidates personal responsibility in the areas of overall safety and civil liabilities in their respective areas of expertise.

 

Successful Candidates must:

§         Be an employee of the organization requiring Ice & Snow Control  Training

§         Be well respected in their respective organizations by management, peers and subordinates.

§         Be highly motivated, energetic, willing and able

§         Understand the need and requirements for a proper training program

§         Have demonstrated an ability to learn new techniques and assist others to learn

§         Have demonstrated an ability to communicate well with others and write effectively

§         Have an above average safety record, understanding and attitude.

 

Certified Candidates must possess the necessary skills to present training sessions of the Ice & Snow Control Training Program and therefore must successfully complete this Course to a level consistent with the high standards of the Course as set by the instructors.

Each successful Candidate will receive a Certificate of Qualification and will be certified in accordance with the standards of this Course.
